Non-violent Conflict Resolution through Forgiveness
Breaking the Cycle - blog post

St. Josephs College, Croydon

The real gangstas are people like Martin Luther King and Gandhi – why? because they used the power of forgiveness to solve conflicts. That was the message Ira Campbell was bringing to the year 9 students at St. Josephs.

Somethings can never be forgotten, but with forgiveness everyone is a winner. It certainly made me think when John quoted “if you seek revenge, you better dig two graves”, how do you argue with that?

Today i was there when breaking the cycle came to my school an d i was sitting in the front row when Ira told us his story. I could really relate to it. As i grew up in Brixton myself when i was younger. Seeing a lot of “gang banging” and what not. I think that what you do is absolutly inspiring and you have inspired me.
