Life on the streets of New York City is a world away from rural East Sussex, but when Sergio Argueta spoke about the hell he went through as a gang member, you guys sat up and paid attention. Thanks to all 350 of you RCC students for welcoming Breaking the Cycle to your school, and for thinking seriously about the issues our speakers raised. As you saw from the portraits on stage, of people whose lives were lived for a purpose, and from the row of cardboard tombstones, with the names of young people like yourselves whose lives have been cut short by senseless violence, BTC is all about making choices. We hope Why Forgive?, the free book you received, will help you think about the choices you make as you head into adulthood. Drop us a line to let us know what the event meant to you.
